FREE WITH TRANSFERABLE CREDIT

It is a three-credit course for undergraduate (S1) learners. The course is conducted in English with self-paced mode. All sessions are held asynchronous using idols.ui as learning platform.

Introductory Macroeconomics course is designed to provide a comprehensive overview of the basics of macroeconomic theory. It covers topics such as key macroeconomic indicators, the real economy in the short run and in the long run, the role of money and prices, and other economic issues like economic crises and their related policies.

After completing this course, when dealing with articles or discussions on certain macroeconomic issues and phenomena, students are able to explain relevant economic indicators and use the basic foundations of macroeconomics theory to understand the discussions.

Students are expected to independently learn and complete all the learning activities within four (4) months (9 March 2023-30 June 2023). It is suggested that students allocate 300-480 minutes (5-8 hours) per week, and complement the learning activities in idols.ui with text book reading (recommended in the lesson plan book).
